Linda Carey, director of Housing Assignment Services, said that the answers to most student questions are available in the Move-In Guide or through on-line resources included in the guide.
Also included in the guide are links to floor plans, a list of what is provided in rooms, what to bring (and what not to bring), when and how to check in, residence hall policies, dining plans, how to pack smart, information about ordering refrigerators/microwaves and how to buy a rug, and what to expect on move-in day.
On-campus housing assignments will be released the first week of August and students are encouraged to contact their roommates as soon as possible. Students can use the guide to talk about who is bringing what items.
Personal contact is always the best way to start a good relationship with a roommate.
Arrival Survival staff will be available on new student move-in day, Saturday, Aug. 25, to help incoming students move into their residence hall spaces. Approximately 3,600 freshman and 200 transfer students will be moving into the residence halls.
