May 6: Walk MS at UD
National Multiple Sclerosis Society's state chapter sets Walk MS at UD
2:21 p.m., May 1, 2012--The Delaware Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society will hold its 2012 Walk MS at the University of Delaware beginning at 10 a.m., Sunday, May 6.
The event will begin in front of UD's Trabant University Center, with a 2.7-mile course winding through Newark.

June 5: Blue Hen 5K
University of Delaware graduates planning to attend Alumni Weekend are encouraged to register for the annual Blue Hen 5K walk and run, which will be held Sunday morning, June 5.
June 6-9: Food and culture series
The 20th annual June Lecture Series at the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at UD in Wilmington will be held June 6-9. Titled 'June a la Carte,' this year's program focuses on great political documents, feminism, world politics and a Newark cuisine sampler.
"The Daring Dashers," the largest UD walk fundraising team in 2011, led by the O'Dwyer family, will conduct the ceremonial ribbon cutting to begin the walk.
Numerous UD student organizations will be on hand to volunteer, assist with registration and cheer on walkers. Also present will be UD's national champion mascot, YoUDee.
Registration will begin at 9 a.m. and the walk will be held rain or shine.
