Weinberg Center to host panel of experts on executive compensation

11:18 a.m., April 27, 2012--Citigroup's shareholders recently rejected its executive compensation program, and executive compensation continues to be a hot topic at the national level. 

Top academics, executives, judges, lawyers and governance experts will gather to discuss the topic on Tuesday, May 8, in a panel discussion presented by the Weinberg Center for Corporate Governance in UD's Lerner College of Business and Economics.

University of Delaware graduates planning to attend Alumni Weekend are encouraged to register for the annual Blue Hen 5K walk and run, which will be held Sunday morning, June 5.

June 6-9: Food and culture series

The 20th annual June Lecture Series at the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at UD in Wilmington will be held June 6-9. Titled 'June a la Carte,' this year's program focuses on great political documents, feminism, world politics and a Newark cuisine sampler.

The panel, entitled "Punting Peer Groups: Resolving the Compensation Conundrum," will be held from 9:30-11:30 a.m., May 8, in Room 125 of Lerner Hall. The program is free and open to the public, but registration is required.  To register, contact Alba Bates at batesa@udel.edu.

Moderating the panel will be Charles M. Elson, Edgar S. Woolard Jr. Chair in Corporate Governance and director of the John L. Weinberg Center for Corporate Governance.
