4:11 p.m., Sept. 1, 2010----For the night football game on Sept. 2, Parking Lot 88 at Delaware Stadium will be closed on Thursday, and extra shuttle buses will run that evening.

Lot 88 closed

Unauthorized vehicles parked in this lot on Thursday will be towed at the owner's expense.

Parking will be available for Blue, Red and Gold pass holders in Lot 1 (Rust Ice Arena) and across South College Avenue in the north lot of the Science and Technology Campus (also known as the former Newark assembly site). A map for the temporary parking is available online.

Drivers should be aware that there will be heavy traffic volume in this area on Thursday, and they can expect delays.

UD Shuttle Bus routes South Campus, Express, and Evening Route 1 will be modified to serve this temporary lot. A special shuttle also will run beginning one hour before game time.

Regular parking procedures will return to normal on Friday.

Football shuttles

A special football shuttle will pick up passengers every 20 minutes, beginning at 4:30 p.m. on Sept. 2. Students, faculty and staff can board the shuttle at Christiana Commons, Perkins Student Center and Rodney/Dickinson and will be taken directly to Delaware Stadium from each stop.

Return loops will begin at halftime and continue until 1 hour after the game ends, dropping off at Christiana Commons, Perkins Student Center and Rodney/Dickinson.

The shuttles will run for every home game and further information is available online.
