Enthusiastic students sought to assist with Delaware Discovery Days

4:09 p.m., May 18, 2011--The University of Delaware Admissions Office is seeking positive and enthusiastic UD undergraduates to assist with two on-campus open houses -- Delaware Discovery Days -- on Saturdays, July 16 and July 23, from 6:45 a.m. until 3:30 p.m.

Discovery Days typically attract more than 2,000 prospective students and their family members each day.  Each program begins at 9 a.m. with an Admissions presentation followed by a University-wide Information Fair with over 90 UD departments, walking tours of campus, residence hall tours, plus much more.

June 6: UDid It! Picnic

All UD faculty and staff members are invited to attend the annual UDid It! employee appreciation picnic, set from 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m., Monday, June 6, on The Green.

Interested students will receive compensation of $7.50 per hour, and a complimentary Discovery Day shirt. Mandatory training is available on July 13 or July 14.

Interested students should possess the following characteristics:

• Pride in the University of Delaware;
• Excellent verbal communication skills;
• Reliability and dependability;
• Diplomacy;
• Ability to think and work independently; and
• A minimum UD cumulative grade point average of 2.5.
