Twenty of downtown Newark's restaurants, the most since the annual event began in 2006, will offer special, fixed price lunches for $10 per person, two-course dinners for $19 per person, three-course dinners for $25 per person, and family friendly meals for $19 for a family or group of four people during the week-long promotion.

Dining styles represented during Restaurant Week 2011 include Japanese sushi, Irish, Middle Eastern, Latin and more.

To view the most up-to-date featured menus of this year's participants -- which include newcomers and first time participating restaurants Catherine Rooney's, Claymont Steak Shop, MIZU Sushi, and Mojo Main -- visit the Eat Downtown Newark website.

The event is sponsored by the Downtown Newark Partnership, which includes the University of Delaware, and by the Newark Post and the Taste of Newark, held annually on the UD campus.
