Y'Anna Crawley to be featured in annual concert at Trabant

3:21 p.m., April 7, 2011--The annual Gospelrama concert, this year featuring BET Sunday Best winner Y’Anna Crawley, will be held at 8 p.m., Friday, April 29, in the Multipurpose Rooms of the Trabant University Center at the University of Delaware.

Gospelrama is sponsored by the UD Cultural Programming Advisory Board, the UD Gospel Choir and the Solace Gospel Dance Crew.

University of Delaware graduates planning to attend Alumni Weekend are encouraged to register for the annual Blue Hen 5K walk and run, which will be held Sunday morning, June 5.

June 6-9: Food and culture series

The 20th annual June Lecture Series at the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at UD in Wilmington will be held June 6-9. Titled 'June a la Carte,' this year's program focuses on great political documents, feminism, world politics and a Newark cuisine sampler.

Crawley won BET’s Sunday Best competition in 2009 and released her debut album, The Promise, in August 2010. A native of Washington, D.C., Crawley says she has known she “wanted to sing, record and minister through music since she began crooning into a hairbrush in front of a mirror as a young girl.”

There will be performances by the UD Gospel Choir, Solace Gospel Dance Crew and B-Wellz.
