The college's underwater glider has been deployed to process real-time data on sea surface temperatures, information that will help scientists understand where the oil will go next.

Those who are interested can watch the glider's activity on the Deepwater Horizon Response website. Under “real-time IOOS glider fleet positions,” look for the Blue Hen and UD 134.

UD is one of several university partners involved with the Integrated Ocean Observing System (IOOS), which has coordinated the creation of the DeepWater Horizon Response.
