9:13 a.m., Jan. 8, 2010----As the Colonial Athletic Association schedules kick into high gear for the Blue Hens men's and women's basketball teams, the University of Delaware is offering special ticket packages for games at the Bob Carpenter Center this winter.
Fans are invited to come out to root for the Blue Hens and at the same time get great discounts on tickets for the game and a full-day of high-flying fun.
Special “Shoot for 3” mini-plans for $20 for women's games and “Shoot for 2” game packs for $22 for men's games are currently being offered.
Call the UD Season Ticket and Group Sales Office at (302) 831-2257 to order your tickets and get in on the fun.
The women's “Shoot for 3” plan includes one ticket to the women's basketball annual Pink Zone game on Sunday, Feb. 14, at 12 noon; one ticket to a choice of two future Blue Hen games (Jan. 17 against defending CAA champion Drexel at 2 p.m., Jan. 28 against Towson at 7 p.m., Feb. 7 against George Mason at 2 p.m., or Feb. 25 against Northeastern at 7 p.m.); one complimentary official UD basketball game program; and a 25 percent off coupon for a single UD Fightin' Blue Hens item redeemable at UD Bookstore locations at the Perkins Student Center and the Trabant University Center or on weekend game days at the Bob Carpenter Center.
The men's “Shoot for 2” pack includes two game tickets to a choice of one game (televised games Jan. 16 against Towson at noon, Jan. 23 against Georgia State at 4 p.m., or Feb. 2 against Northeastern); one complimentary official UD basketball game program; and two hot dog food vouchers for game day concessions at the Bob Carpenter Center.
The Blue Hens feature two of the CAA' s most exciting players in Jawan Carter and Elena Delle Donne. Carter, a pre-season All-CAA junior guard for the UD men, ranks second in the CAA in scoring at 17.3 points per game while Delle Donne ranks No. 3 nationally in scoring at 25.2 points per game and is a candidate for the Naismith National Player of the Year Award.
