How to log in to WebCT

Follow these steps to log in to WebCT.

Activate your UNIX e-mail account. If you have not done so, go back to the UD Link home page and begin with Step 1: What computer hardware & software do I need?

Make sure that your browser is configured correctly using the information on the WebCT Student Manual web page.

Link to the WebCT home page (http://www.udel.edu/webct/).
You should see a screen similar to the following one:

At the top of the screen, click Logon to WebCT.

Type your UNIX username as your WebCT username.

Type your UNIX password as your WebCT password.

Helpful hints

myWebCT page
When you have successfully logged in, you will see the myWebCT page with links to all the WebCT courses in which you are enrolled. Your course(s) will be listed on the left side of the screen under the Courses heading.

Course Homepage
After you click on a specific course, the Course Homepage will be displayed and will show you links to use for that individual course. This is the starting page for all access points for that course. In the center of the Course Homepage, a number of icons are available which take you to various parts of the course. Your instructor may choose to include or delete different icons on the Course Homepage.
Important Note
If you are enrolled in more than one WebCT course, the WebCT course icons and icon titles may differ. Instructors organize their WebCT courses differently in order to meet their instructional needs.
Click on the links on your Course Homepage and familiarize yourself with how your course is organized. Navigational tools are provided at the side and top of the page. The Home link takes you back to the Course Homepage. The MYWEBCT link take you back to your original myWebCT page that lists your course(s).
