Beth A. Twiss-Garrity, Director of Programs for the National Constitution Center, was a founding member of the Visitor Research Team at Winterthur. A 1983 WPEAC graduate, she was Director of the Ebenezer Maxwell Mansion in Philadelphia from 1983-1987 and Curator of Education at Winterthur from 1987-2000. Her most recent publications on the subject of visitor research are "Listening to Our visitors' Voices" in Old Collections, New Audiences: Decorative Arts and Visitor Experience for the 21st Century (Detroit: Henry Ford Museum and Greenfield Village, 2000, pp. 9-18) and "Children as Museum Visitors" in Current Trends in Audience Research and Evaluation, Vol. 13 (Baltimore: AAM Committee on Audience Research and Evaluation, May 2000, pp. 71-81).
