Debra Hess Norris is Director and Associate Professor of Photograph Conservation in the Winterthur/University of Delaware Program in Art Conservation (WUDPAC). She also serves as Director of the University of Delaware undergraduate program in art conservation. She has written extensively about the conservation treatment and preservation of photographic materials and issues relating to emergency response. She has consulted on the care and preservation of photographic collections throughout the world and lectured widely on this and other related topics. She is chairman of the Conservation Center for Art and Historic Artifacts board, serves on the board of Heritage Preservation, and is past president of the American Institute for Conservation. She received her MS degree from WUDPAC in 1980.
