Wade A. Lawrence is assistant director of Drayton Hall, a National Trust historic site in Charleston, South Carolina. He earned his B.A. in art history from the University of Minnesota and his M.A. in early American culture from the Winterthur Program. His current focus is the ongoing preservation of Drayton Hall, overseeing work on concurrent plaster, paint, building envelope, structural, and passive climate management projects and a PBS documentary about the work.
