Advising Views

Access to Advising Views is automatically determined by the staff person's UDSIS access. If you have any questions, please contact the Registrar's Office.

Click Find a student and enter search criteria or clear a previous search. The system will gray/lock out while searching. If no active student is found, you may search inactive students, ie. students who are not enrolled/do not have active programs in UDSIS.

When you access a Views link for a student, you can easily return to the About this student page by clicking the student name.

Advising Views displays summary information about students, their academic programs/plan(s) with associated details and advisors. The information is current/same day information as found in UDSIS.

The sections below the Program plan information contain:

• Views:
  • The student's Admissions Profile - application, high school and test score details
  • The following completed Undergraduate academic webforms will be displayed. Staff can search for webforms by name or view all completed forms. Results may be sorted by any column title.
    • Application for Readmission
    • Change of Catalog Year
    • Change of Major, Minor, Concentration, & Graduation Term
    • Course Permit (Drop/Add)
    • Course Substitution
    • Degree Checkout
    • Excused Absence Notification
    • Honors Degree Candidacy
    • Independent Study and DLE Agreement
    • Student LOA & Withdrawal
  • Test scores and Credit - test scores, test, course and other credit posted to the student's record
• Start a Form - Links for authorized staff to initiate one of the forms listed.

  • UDSIS/Advisor Center - student bio demo information/ transcript / degree audit / what-if report, etc.
  • Advising Notes Manager - historical advising notes recorded for the student; the A&S degree checkout form for AS students

Undergraduate advisors will typically work in BHSC where notes about student interactions are recorded. If academic webforms, admissions or test/transfer credit information is needed, they can click the Advising Views link found in the BHSC Links area on the right of the student's page, to directly connect to Advising Views. Advising Views will also link to historical notes about the student in the Advising Notes Manager.
