As you know, this is a lecture/laboratory course. The lecture portion of
the course will cover a set of topics from the textbook; Goldstein,
E.B.,(1999)Sensation and Perception, 5th ed.,Pacific Grove, CA:
Brooks/Cole. You will be tested on this material by two exams, a midterm
and a final, which will contribute two-thirds of your total grade.
The remaining third will come from lab reports you write, based on
various lab activities. You will be receiving a style manual on writing
them.

There will be a Web page for the course, with the URL
http://www.udel.edu/psych/johnmcl/sp.html It is a work in progress, but I
hope it will be useful for exploring demonstrations and illustrations of
perceptual effects and a source for information about the course and the
science. What follows is a tentative schedule of lecture topics, readings
and lab activities.
