As we shared on Monday, the University is taking deliberate steps to strengthen its long-term financial sustainability. One of those steps is a Voluntary Retirement Incentive Program for staff employees who are eligible for retirement on January 1, 2027.

As employees consider the program, leaders across the University will work closely to plan for any transitions, including how responsibilities are prioritized, so that teams are supported and the critical work of the University continues without disruption.

Participation is entirely voluntary. Eligible employees are receiving an email from HR today with the program details, and HR will hold information sessions over the next few weeks. If you have questions or did not receive a notice and believe you are eligible, you are welcome to reach out to HR at hrhelp@udel.edu.
