COVID-19 Testing on Campus

COVID-19 testing is available this month at two locations on the University of Delaware campus in Newark. Testing at both locations is open to the general public. An appointment is recommended, and registration may be completed online.

Parking Update for Fall 2022

Effective Aug. 1, 2022, the cost for a parking permit will increase for the first time since 2018. New hybrid permits will be available for employees who are only on campus for three or fewer days per week. Individuals on campus four or five days a week will still be required to purchase a full-price permit. Hybrid permits will only be available to those who have an approved Telework Agreement. Fully remote employees do not qualify for this permit. Learn more.

Delaware Tech (DTCC) Tuition Waiver Exchange

Human Resources is now accepting applications for the DTCC waiver exchange lottery. This program waives the fall and spring tuition for one dependent who is enrolled on a full-time basis in a degree-granting program at DTCC. The deadline is Aug. 5.

UD Farm Stand

UD student interns are operating a UD Fresh to You farm stand every Wednesday this summer from 4 to 7 p.m. at the UDairy Creamery flagship location (535 South College Ave). UD Fresh to You is a primarily student-run farm that grows its produce organically. Stop by each week this summer for fresh tomatoes, peppers, squash, melons, corn and much more—all grown right on the UD Farm in Newark.

Join A Research Study about American Households

The Department of Applied Economics and Statistics is recruiting married couples for a paid research study about how American households make decisions. Researchers are looking for couples to participate in a Zoom session where you and your spouse will be asked to complete simple computer tasks. You and your spouse can each earn up to $80 in Visa gift cards. Each session takes 45 to 60 minutes to complete. This study has been approved by the UD Institutional Review Board. Mental Health First Aid Training

Mental Health First Aid teaches you how to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental illness and substance use disorders. This training gives you the skills you need to reach out and provide initial support to someone who may be developing a mental health or substance use problem and help connect them to the appropriate care. This course is open to all UD employees in partnership with NAMI DE at no cost to you. Register now for the July 28, In-Person Training or Aug. 31, Virtual Training.

Fitness Classes

Reap the benefits of incorporating daily movement by participating in one of our in-person fitness classes. An All-Access Membership is required to participate. Learn more and register for classes.

Future Hens Club

Membership for the 2022-23 Future Hens Club, the official kids club of Delaware Athletics, is now available. Kids ages 12 and under are invited to join YoUDee, Baby Blue and friends for a year of fun activities, free game tickets, exclusive giveaways and special events. Employee Assistance Program

Our Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is now being provided through ComPsych® GuidanceResources®. This is a free program available exclusively for State of Delaware Group Health Plan non-Medicare members and their dependents. Those not eligible to enroll in the Group Health Plan will have access until the COVID-19 pandemic has ended. EAP can help with a wide variety of work and life issues.
