IRS reminder
The U.S. Internal Revenue Service reminds individuals to ensure that their donations are made to reputable organizations and to beware of scams. Taxpayers can make sure a specific charity is qualified by visiting the IRS Web site and typing “search for charities” in the search feature. Some organizations, such as churches or governments, may be qualified even though they are not listed on the site.
