Clonorchis sinensis
Clonorchis sinensis infects the liver of humans and other fish-eating mammals; the adults measure about 20 x 4 mm. The ova have an operculum and prominant shoulders (arrow); they are 28-35 by 12-19 µm. The ova are essentially indistinguishable from Heterophyes heterophyes, Opisthorchis viverrini and Metagonimus yokogawai.
