Blue Hen Tailgate

Gather with Blue Hens and friends in Hospitality Village for a spirit-filled pre-game tailgate. Enjoy food, drinks, yard games and live music with a Blue Hen favorite Chorduroy. All adult guests who register before October 15 are guaranteed this year’s UD Homecoming scarf, so register early and show your pride! Space is limited. Discounted football tickets are available with the purchase of the tailgate.

UD’s Fightin’ Blue Hens will be hungry for a third straight win over conference rivals, the Richmond Spiders. Come cheer Coach Rocco and our Hens to victory! For game only, purchase tickets through UD Athletics. If you register for the Blue Hen Tailgate, you can receive discounted game tickets. Register for tailgate and game.

Join fellow University of Delaware alumni, students, employees, and community members by participating in the UD Blue Hens Homecoming 5K on Wednesday, October 23, 2019. Fast and flat, starting and finishing at Delaware Stadium. This out and back route through the Nelson Athletic Complex and the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources will take you on a tour of the stadiums, fields and farms on UD’s South Campus. Finish inside the stadium at the 50 yard line!


Homecoming Cornhole Classic

  Amateur Division: $5 per team; Competitive Division: $10 per team

The Student Centers in partnership with UD Recreation will host its inaugural cornhole tournament on the Harrington Turf! Teams may include current students, faculty, staff and alumni. Sign up today, you don’t want to miss out on the largest cornhole tournament in UD’s History! Amateur Division: $10 per team; Competitive Division: $25 per team. Only team captains need to register.


Mechanical Engineering Alumni-Student Networking Event

Inaugural Alumni Basketball Tournament

Think you’ve still got game? Join us for the inaugural Alumni Basketball Tournament and prove it. Come to play or to watch. Teams will be 5v5, but you don’t need five friends to play. Sign up and we’ll assign you to teams. This is event is free but registration is required.


Homecoming Trivia Bowl

Can’t get enough of quizzo? Well, you’re in luck! Come out with your team and test your knowledge during the Homecoming Trivia Bowl! We will host the Homecoming Trivia Bowl in the West Lounge of Perkins. Register your team of five or less today! Open to current students, faculty, staff and alumni.


Biden School Alumni Event

Please join us to connect with current and retired faculty and fellow alumni—including notable alumni of the school—as we celebrate our history and look toward the bright future for the Biden School of Public Policy & Administration. Student-Athlete Alumni Tailgate

Reconnect with former teammates and coaches at the Student-Athlete Alumni Tailgate prior to the UD vs. Richmond football game! This year's tailgate will feature commemorative photos and memorabilia as we celebrate 50 years of women’s athletics at UD. Female student-athlete alumni, coaches and administrators will be invited on-field for a special halftime presentation following the tailgate.

Student-athlete alumni are also encouraged to join us in honoring our 2019 Celebration of Champions teams. These are teams celebrating their 10th, 20th, 25th, 30th, 40th and 50th conference championship anniversaries with an on-field recognition immediately prior to the Homecoming football game kick-off.

Mechanical Engineering Homecoming Tailgate

UD Marching Band Reunion

Join fellow UD Marching Band alumni after this year's Homecoming game as we celebrate the 25th anniversary of Heidi Sarver and Jim Ancona as Directors of the Fightin' Blue Hen Marching Band! Alumni from all years are encouraged to attend to recognize Sarver and Ancona for their incredible leadership through the years and to celebrate the Marching Band's proud history.

Bring your appetite because we will have plenty of delicious food, including BBQ chicken, brisket, sides and a dessert bar. Cash bar will be available.

MGC Homecoming Step Show

Join fellow Blue Hens for this fun, entertaining and educational step show hosted by the Multicultural Greek Congress, which will showcase the University’s culturally-based fraternities and sororities (NPHC, NALFO and NAPA). The audience will have the opportunity to listen and dance to a variety of music while learning about different cultures. The event is a competition where members share the traditions and origins of stepping that is unique to their organization. This event is in honor of Richard Wilson, a former university administrator who was influential in the university community.
