FR 106    Writing Assignment 4
 

I.    Souvenirs d'enfance. Describe your childhood.  Who were your friends?  What were they like?  What did you used to do?  Describe relationships with family and friends.  What did you usually do at school?  at home?  Where did you go to play?  What did you usually do on the weekend?

II.    Functions:
        Talking about the way things were.  Talking about your childhood and past routine.
        Talking about past relationships.

III.    Structures:
        a.    Imparfait for repeated  past action, routine, description (TX 297-298)
        b.    Pronominal verbs for daily routine and relationships: se comprendre, se battre, s'entendre (TX 300-302)
        c.    Qui / que to elaborate, making more sophisticated sentences (TX 309-310)
        d.    Vocabulary relating to routine past action: d'habitude, le weekend, en été, en hiver,
                en  automne, au printemps, le lundi, le mardi, etc.
        e.    Use of object pronouns me, te, nous, vous (TX 313-314)

IV.    Self edit:
