Remote Control Used to easily use electronic equipment such as tv's, vcr's, and compact disc (cd) players. 2. Fish Tanks Used not only as a home for pet fish, but also as a decorative display for everyone to admire. 3. Carpet Found on the floor in most rooms in a home for comfort on the feet, warmth, and also for decoration. Not usually found in the bathrooms or in the kitchen. 4. Family and Living Rooms These are two rooms in the home which are usually both furnished with couches and loveseats (a small couch big enough for two people). The difference between the two rooms is that the family room is usually fancy and only used when guests come over, whereas the living room is used on a regular basis. 5. Entertainment Systems These are typically wooden shelves in which the tv, vcr, stereo, vcr tapes, compact discs, and speakers are located in one unit. 6. Electric Blankets These are blankets used typically in the winter time which are electrically equipped to be plugged in and used for warmth. 7. Decks These are typically wooded platforms that extend either on the outside of the front or the outside of the back of the house. They can either be on the first or the second level of the house. Decks are used as a place to relax or even to have a picnic or barbecue. 8. Hot Tubs/Jacuzzi's These are found either in a large bathroom or even on the deck of a house. They are like a small pool which are heated and used for pleasure and relaxation. 9. Adjustable Beds These beds are adjustable so that a person's back can be propped up to their desired height typically used while reading or watching tv in bed. 10. Bean Bag Chair These are rounded bags filled with beans that serve the purpose of a chair. They are placed on the floor and when you sit in them, it seems as if the chair is taking the shape of your body. 11. Husbands These are pillows usually on the bed used to make it comfortable to sit up and they have sides where you can rest your arms on. 12. Dog Doors A dog door is a square hole in the bottom of the back door of a home with a flap over it so that pet dogs can come in and out without disturbing their owners. Jeanine Mauro and Brooke Hare
