Vacations

 

            An important part of the American lifestyle is the yearly or more then yearly vacations families and individuals take.  There are many great places people vacation at in the United States.  Two of the most famous places are Disney World in Florida and Disney Land in California.  People go to these places to relax and go on fun amusement rides.  Other favorite places for people to go are the numerous beaches on America’s coastline.  There are too many to name, but people go to the beach so they can swim in the ocean, lie on the beach to tan, meet people and just relax. 

            Some people go on vacation to visit famous places in the United States that have historical or geographic significance.  Some of these places are the White House and the Capital building in Washington, DC; the Liberty Bell in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; the Grand Canyon in Arizona; and Mount Rushmore in South Dakota.  People go to these places to because they want to know more about American history or because they enjoy photographing famous places.

            Another time people go on vacation is when they are first married.  Often, after the wedding day, couples travel to places to have time alone.  These vacations usually last a week.  Common places for people to go are Niagara Fall, which is a waterfall in New York State, one of the Caribbean islands, or to Disney World.
