2 will serve as an attachment to the Faculty Senate agenda. Proposing department should complete form,
attach as a cover page and forward to the college dean. Documentation should
include copy of curriculum as it is to appear in the Undergraduate and Graduate
Catalog. Proposals must arrive to the
Undergraduate/Graduate Committee by November in order to reach the Faculty Senate
by March 1. Proposals received after
this date cannot be implemented the following year nor included in the catalog
for that year.

a. Rationale
for creation, revision, or deletion:
1.
The
American Dietetic Association, the organization which accredits the didactic
program, requires a specific sentence be included in the catalog regarding
accreditation. To be in compliance with their requirements, the existing
sentence needed editing.
2.
Some
elective social science courses listed in the 1999 catalog were inadvertently
omitted from the current description. These courses were added with the
approval of the Chair of the IFST department.
3.
For
APN majors, either BISC 106 or BISC 276 can be taken. The word “or” was omitted
from the catalog.
