The proposed name change was discussed at the College Faculty meeting
and received overwhelming support. Subsequently, two open hearings were held
for faculty, professional staff and representatives from affiliated
institutions; no
dissenting opinions were expressed. Email correspondence related to this issue
unanimously supported the revised name.
