21 credits of courses required in the Sport Management
major, for which honors sections will be available. These will include HESC202,
HESC340, HESC344, HESC347, HESC437, HESC439, and HESC616 (capstone) (Honors
course syllabi attached.)
The Honors program option previously offered for
students in the Sport Management Concentration within the Health Behavior
Management major, before Sport Management became a free-standing major,

Rationale:

We propose the creation of an Honors
Bachelor of Science for students majoring in Sport Management. The degree will
provide the challenge and enrichment of a structured honors experience for
academically talented students selecting the major and will serve as an added
attraction for outstanding students considering selection of the major.
Program Requirements:

Students can earn an Honors Bachelor of Science Degree in Athletic Training, Exercise Science, Health Behavior Management, Health and Physical Education, and Sport Management by completing the following requirements:

All requirements for the Bachelor of Science Degree in
the respective major.
2.
All of the University’s generic requirements for the Honors
Baccalaureate Degree (see page ## of this catalogue).
