Undergraduate/Graduate Committee by November in order to reach the Faculty Senate
by March 1. Proposals received after

a. Rationale for
creation, revision, or deletion:
1. The
Breadth Requirement of a second writing course outside of the department is
being eliminated for the Health Behavior Management major. It has been
difficult for students to gain enrollment in such a course due to the limited
number of courses offered. Students in the Health Behavior Management major are
required to take HESC 400, Research Methods, which requires an extensive paper
with several rewrites.
2.
There
is also a revision in the organization of the Breadth Requirements for the
major to eliminate confusion with the Breadth Requirements in the

There are no changes in the
required courses for the major, other than in the Breadth Requirements, as described
above. The new Breadth Requirements for the major are presented below.
