a.
Rationale for creation, revision, or deletion:
Based on results from annual evaluations of the Didactic Program in Dietetics (DPD) (DIET major) by program graduates and their preceptors/employers, and with a concurrence of clinical faculty, a major deficiency in skills/knowledge of medical nutrition therapy was identified. Addition of this course to the curriculum at the sophomore level would also prepare DPD students with important skills to secure work experience in clinical dietetics necessary to enhance their dietetic internship applications. As well, this course would emphasize the newly ADA-adopted road map to quality care and outcomes management.
