Faculty Senate agenda. Proposing
department should complete form, attach as a cover page and forward to the
college dean. Documentation should include copy of curriculum as it is to
appear in the Undergraduate and Graduate Catalog. Proposals must arrive to the
Undergraduate/Graduate Committee by November in order to reach the Faculty Senate
by March 1. Proposals received after
this date cannot be implemented the following year nor included in the catalog
for that year.

a. Rationale for creation, revision, or
deletion:
In this program change, the School of Education is
requesting that one of the present concentrations in the Ed.D. program in
Educational Leadership be deleted. The
current “Curriculum and Instruction” concentration will be deleted and replaced
with a new concentration as part of a planned revision to the Ed.D. degree. The
rationale for the creation of the new concentration is explained in that
program document. The title for the new
concentration will be “Curriculum, Technology, and Higher Education”.
b. Summary of program:
All course and program requirements
associated with the Curriculum and Instruction concentration will be suspended
in conjunction with the deletion of this concentration.
