Submitted by: Charles E. Mason, phone number 831-8888
Action: Revise concentration in Entomology under the MS in Entomology and Applied
Ecology
Effective term: 05F
Current degree: MS
Proposed change leads to the
degree of: MS
Proposed name: N/A
Revising or Deleting:
Graduate Program Policy statement change: See
attached document for complete policy with highlighted changes.
Graduate Program of Study: Entomology and Applied
Ecology: M.S.
Graduate Concentration: Entomology
List program changes for
curriculum revisions:
Drop ENWC 601 (Insect Physiology)
Add ENWC 605 (Insect Structure and
Function)
List new courses required for
the new or revised curriculum: None, the added course already
exists.
Other affected units: No
other units will be affected.
Rationale:
The course being dropped from the
requirement, ENWC 601 (Physiology), is a specialized one offered alternate
years. ENWC 605, (Structure and
Function), will provide a broader perspective of insect structure and
function. The function component of the
course is comprised primarily of physiology.
Because this course is offered each year, students will have more
flexibility in scheduling their other courses.
Program Requirements:
No change is being made in the catalog text.
ROUTING AND AUTHORIZATION: (Please do not remove supporting
