General Organization
Classes will start with a question-and-answer review of material
covered in the previous class with "participation" points awarded
towards final grade, or with a short open-book in-class exercise
to be graded. Dates for these exercises are listed tentatively in the
syllabus as "in-class lab #"; actual dates will be announced one or two weeks ahead of time.
About 60 to 90 minutes will be devoted each class to hands-on
practice with an existing Sybase database or equivalent, or to working
on your own database project later in the semester.
