Most classes will start with a question-and-answer review of material covered in the previous class (points awarded towards final grade – see section on grading). The review may be replaced by a short, hands-on, open-book in-class lab for credit (shown in the syllabus as In-class lab #).

About 60 to 90 minutes will be devoted each class to hands-on practice with an existing Sybase database or equivalent, or to working on your own database project later in the semester.
