The short story.
I came from Cleveland, Ohio
(Go, Indians!!) to UD by way of Boston (Simmons College) and California
(UC Berkeley and UC San Francisco). I did post-doctoral work in the
Central Research Department at DuPont.
When I first came to UD,
I did research related to viruses, and taught microbiology and virology.
After taking a few years off, I returned to UD. I currently teach
two introductory biology courses; one for biology majors, BISC207, "Introductory
Biology I," and one for non-majors, BISC103, "Principles of Biology," as
well as "General Microbiology," BISC300. I also developed and teach
two other courses; "Viruses, Genes, and Cancer," BISC110, for non-majors
and "Topics in Infectious Disease," BISC498-012, a problem-based learning
course for advanced biology majors.
