Elementary Human Physiology Lab (BISC116)

Science for non-science majors

BISC 116 is designed for students with minimal science background. A primary objective of the course is to introduce students to basic scientific terminology and to enhance their understanding of scientific methods and investigations. The course is structured to provide students with an opportunity to experience science through the study of basic anatomy, the dissection of organs, and student-designed experimental investigations of physiological processes. The goal of BISC 116 is to help non-science majors improve their science literacy in order to better their understanding of the role of science in our world.
