Delaware tops Villanova in CAA men’s lacrosse
UD’s Curtis Dickson had three goals in the victory over Villanova.
9:15 a.m., March 24, 2008--The University of Delaware men's lacrosse team got back on the winning track with an 8-4 victory over Villanova University in a Colonial Athletic Association game played Saturday afternoon at Rullo Stadium.

With the victory, the Fightin' Blue Hens improved to 6-2 overall and 1-0 in the CAA. The Blue Hens will return to action with a game at Lehigh University at 7 p.m., Tuesday, March 25.

The Blue Hens, who entered the game ranked No. 16 in the nation, jumped out to a 5-0 lead, holding Villanova scoreless for the first 32 minutes.

NCAA scoring leader Curtis Dickson had three goals to lead the Hens and now has 27 on the season. Cam Howard had two goals and one assists, Vincent Giordano had one goal and one assist and Beau Davis and Martin Cahill also scored.

UD goalkeeper Tommy Scherr had 13 saves.
