Panel discussion on climate change set April 5 4:28 p.m., March 27, 2007--“Leading for Sustainability: Delaware Leaders Addressing Climate Change,” a panel discussion on people in Delaware who are taking leadership roles to mitigate climate change, is set for 3:30-5 p.m., Thursday, April 5, in the Bacchus Theater in the Perkins Student Center. Sponsored by UD's College of Marine and Earth Studies and the Leadership Program in the School of Urban Affairs and Public Policy, the forum will feature five panelists who will discuss how they became leaders in addressing global warming and environmental sustainability. Panelists include Tom Lawler, environmental legislative assistant to U.S. Sen. Tom Carper (D-Del.); Chad Toman, founder of Citizens Alarmed About Climate Change and retired DuPont chemist; Dawn Rittenhouse, director of Sustainable Development, DuPont USA; Sandy Johnson, director of the Delaware State Housing Authority; and Lauren Asprooth, co-chairperson of Students for the Environment at the University of Delaware. Panelists will be available from 5-5:20 p.m. for individual discussions. The panel discussion is free and open to the public, students and members of the University community.
