Comcast to air story on UDFSC’s Meissner

Kimmie Meissner and Comcast cameraperson Kenny Kaplan discuss how to tape an action shot at UD’s Gold Ice Arena.
2:54 p.m., Jan. 21, 2005--U.S. National bronze medalist Kimmie Meissner of the University of Delaware Figure Skating Club will be featured in a segment on Comcast SportsNite to be broadcast at 6:30 and 10 p.m., Friday, Jan. 21, in the Baltimore and Washington, D.C., metropolitan areas.

Comcast anchor and reporter Brent Harris visited the UD’s Fred Rust and Gold ice arenas on Thursday to interview Meissner and to film her in action.

The 15-year-old Meissner finished third in the national championships held last week in Portland, Ore., and made history in the process by becoming just the second American woman in history to land a triple axel.
