311 concert set Dec. 4 at The Bob
2:10 p.m., Nov. 13, 2003--Hip-hop favorites 311, along with up-and-coming rockers Three Days Grace, will perform at the Bob Carpenter Center Thursday, Dec. 4.

311 was formed in 1990 in Omaha, Neb., by singer/guitarist Nick Hexum, singer S.A. Martinez, guitarist Tim Mahoney, drummer Chad Sexton and bassist P-Nut. After winning acclaim locally, the quintet moved to Los Angeles and signed with Capricorn Records in 1991. Since then, 311 has released several albums, including 1995s Blue album, which sold 3 million copies worldwide.
Three Days Grace was formed in Norwood, Ontario, Canada, in 1997 by vocalist/guitarist Adam Gontier, bassist Brad Walst and drummer Neil Sanderson. They have carved their niche with an energetic sound that has become their trademark, particularly in live performances. The bands hit single, (I Hate) Everything About You, hit alternative North American radio stations this past summer and is still going strong on college music charts.
