After a 16-year absence, Margot Hsu Carroll, assistant to the executive vice president of the University, returned to Delaware and the town where she was raised.
"The University still impresses me: The campus is gorgeous and the programs are terrific," she said. "My job is great and I love it here."
Through the annual Employee Campaign, more than $116,000 was raised this year from more than 240 employees. The average gift increased from $425 last year to $481 this year. Moreover, many employees contribute on their own through alumni campaigns or have historically contributed throughout the year. Total giving from 851 members of faculty and staff of the University reached nearly $753,000.
"I chose to direct my contributions to scholarships and financial aid in order to help students attend UD, regardless of their financial situation," Carroll said. "The students are the University's greatest assets!"
