The EIIP Tech Arena featured Jim Cook, CEM, in a presentation about "OpsCenter: Virtual EOC Application." Jim has been with Essential Technologies for a little over two years, and is currently a Senior Client Services Manager in the Contingency Management Business Unit. Prior to joining Essential, he was the Assistant Director of the Atlanta-Fulton County Emergency Management Agency (AFCEMA) for 18 years.

OpsCenter is a decision management tool that helps manage the status and responses to multiple concurrent incidents, monitor daily operations, track human and material resources and access your plans, procedures & checklists. OpsCenter is available as a self-hosted application or through a professional ASP host. OpsCenter requires a Web-browser - no software to install or maintain. Jim used a number of slides to demonstrate the features of OpsCenter.

Jim Cook, CEM, has been with Essential Technologies for two years. He is currently a Senior Client Services Manager in the Contingency Management Business Unit. Jim provides software and implementation consulting to internal and external clients with emphasis on helping clients derive sustainable business value from the software in order to achieve a reference-able client base for new and repeat business.

Prior to joining Essential Technologies Jim was the Assistant Director of the Atlanta-Fulton County Emergency Management Agency (AFCEMA). Jim was with AFCEMA for 18 years. Jim was very active in the 1996 Summer Olympic Games.
