CISC474, 06S, Class Notes for 02/15/06

Today in class

Every group has a bit of something left to finish up from A03.

A04 is the follow on, which we'll start (and hopefully finish) today.

I will say a bit about A04 before we start. In particular, I'll show

• An example from group 1 of how you might fill in default values
• An example from group 9 of "tentative validation" (i.e. the need for the UTF-8 stuff)

If you have any time left, you can also start on either of two individual assignments that being assigned today (see below).

  • a personal CISC474 web page
  • developing your individual webapp story
  • providing feedback on others' stories

  • I've updated this slightly to give you an easier way to submit. Changes are noted in yellow highlighting. As a preview of CSS, I'll show you in class how I did that. (It's really easy.) I'll show you first in emacs, and then in Dreamweaver.
