Speaker: Damaraju Raghavarao

Title: Designs in Market Research


We will discuss the use of balanced incomplete block designs, 3-designs, Hadamard matrices and orthogonal arrays in planning choice based conjoint and behavioral studies. We illustrate some of the results by small survey results.


Damaraju Raghavarao is Laura H. Carnell Professor of Statistics at Temple University and is currently the chair of the department. He authored or co-authored seven books and more than a hundred articles in refereed journals. His book, "Constructions and Combinatorial Problems in Design of Experiments," first published by Wiley in 1971 and later published by Dover in 1988 is well known. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Mathematical Statistics, American Statistical Association and is an elected member of the International Statistical Society. He received Paul W. Eberman Research Award of Temple University for his research contributions.
