Speaker: Joe Scocas DuPont Corporation Title: Creating Statistical Tools for Customers Abstract: As the amount of data increases and customers have greater access to powerful statistical software packages, it becomes more common for statisticians to be asked to produce tools that customers can use themselves. These tools are often used by the customer to analyze not only present projects, but also similar projects in the future. The design of such tools has a special set of needs in addition to those of a traditional statistical presentation or a program written for the statistician's own use. The topic of this presentation is the recognition of these special needs and strategies designed to meet them.
