I graduated from the Academy of the Holy Cross in Kensington, MD in 2000. I've enjoyed my wonderful experiences here at UD. As a freshman Honors student, I took the colloquium "What's in a Word?" in the fall of 2000. I really enjoyed working with my writing fellow while I was in that class. She helped me brainstorm, organize, polish, and so much more! I hope that freshmen enjoy their colloquia experiences as much as I did - it's such a unique opportunity to learn to write better and work with other honors students in a multidisciplinary setting.
The best piece of advice I can give to freshmen is to get involved and discover all of the great resources the University of Delaware has to offer - get out there and take advantage of UD's opportunities!
