When people ask me why I
wanted to be a Writing Fellow, I tell them, "Well, it wasn't
for the money." And that's true: it wasn't for the
money. The money's good, but it's not about the money.
In fact, the money doesn't have
anything to do with it at all.
Anyone who wants this job shouldn't be so concerned about
the money. We're here to help our fellow students, not
make money; the money shouldn't even enter into the
equation. So stop asking me about the money, okay?
Seriously though, this is my
first semester as a Writing Fellow and I'm loving every
minute of it. The opportunity to become involved at
the grass-roots level and help others become better writers
was just too exciting to pass up.
Outside of my Writing Fellow-type duties, I have a major in
Environmental Science and a minor in History. Once I
finally earn enough credits to leave Newark, I plan on
pursuing my Ph.D. in climatology before embarking on a
professional career in meteorology: the only job where you
get paid to be consistently wrong. |
REMINDER!

students: I will be holding conferences this week (November
10 - 14) in the Library Commons on Tuesday, Thursday, and
Friday.
If you cannot
attend for any reason, please be sure and send me an
e-mail. |
