Constitution of the Faculty of the University of Delaware

ORGANIZATION OF THE FACULTY

The Charter of the University of Delaware as restated in 1953 appears in the Delaware Code, Title 14, Chapter 5. That Charter, attached as Appendix A, recognizes that the entire control and management of the affairs of the University is held by the Board of Trustees.

The Bylaws of the Board of Trustees confer certain powers on the faculty of the University until otherwise determined by the Board. Chapter 2 of those Bylaws, Sections II and III, are included in this document as Appendix B. Under those Bylaws the University Faculty has adopted a Constitution of the Faculty of the University of Delaware. Except for minor editorial changes, the following is the University Faculty Constitution and Bylaws, amended as of September 17, 1973.
