World Champion

Natalie Motley skating

OUR STUDENTS | When Natalie Motley, ANR15, wasn’t studying to earn her associate degree in agriculture and natural resources, she was on wheels.

As the reigning world champion in women’s inline free skating, she has competed in eight world championships, earning one gold, one bronze and four silver medals along the way.

In 2014 she won the International Trophy of Artistic Roller Skating in the senior ladies inline event in Italy. She also won gold in the world-class ladies inline free skating event at the 2014 World Artistic Roller Skating Championships in Spain.

“Skating has given me the discipline I need to be successful,” Motley says. “It has taught me how to manage my time, maintain a healthy lifestyle, support others, accept and learn from my mistakes. And believe in myself no matter what.”
