Directory helps classmates stay connected
ALUMNI | Alumni change emails, jobs and locations so often that it’s hard to keep up with them.To help Blue Hens stay better connected with one another and the University, UD has contracted with Harris Connect to update contact information for all alumni around the world so that they can keep up-to-date on news and activities from campus.
The Office of Alumni Relations is also partnering with Harris Connect to create a print directory, University of Delaware: Blue Hen Connections.
Cindy Campanella, EP ’84, director of Alumni Relations, says that the print directory is another useful tool offered by the University to keep alumni connected.
“Blue Hen Connections—like the Messenger, UDaily, UDconnection.com, the regional alumni clubs and the UD Alumni Association—is designed with the UD community in mind,” she says. “The directory will help alumni contact former classmates, teammates and roommates, while at the same time it will help Blue Hens forge new connections with fellow alumni based on where they live and their occupations.
“In addition to its usefulness, the directory is visually appealing and full of interesting UD facts and figures.”
The publication will feature an introduction with full-color pictures and a history of UD. It will also include a section for photos and memories from alumni.
Alumni have been contacted over the past few months by email, postcard and phone as UD and Harris Connect have tried to update and confirm information that will be printed in the directory. In addition, Blue Hens were given the opportunity to include a personal note and a photo to be part of the directory.
