Oct. 20: Town hall with the provost

Open format followed by budget model presentation


3:14 p.m., Sept. 30, 2015--All University of Delaware students, faculty and staff are invited to meet with Provost Domenico Grasso in an open-format, town hall meeting scheduled from 4-5:30 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 20, in the Trabant University Center Theatre. 

Members of the community are encouraged to attend, ask questions, share ideas and learn about the future of UD.

The agenda will also include a brief presentation about the UD overall budget and new budget model, after which the provost will invite additional questions.

June 5: Blue Hen 5K

University of Delaware graduates planning to attend Alumni Weekend are encouraged to register for the annual Blue Hen 5K walk and run, which will be held Sunday morning, June 5.

June 6-9: Food and culture series

The 20th annual June Lecture Series at the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at UD in Wilmington will be held June 6-9. Titled 'June a la Carte,' this year's program focuses on great political documents, feminism, world politics and a Newark cuisine sampler.

“This is an exciting time in our history: We as a community have written the roadmap to our future and now we get to set that plan into action,” said Grasso. “We want our work to be consequential, to transform lives and to impact the world — and at the core of our success is our ongoing commitment to transparency, diversity and inclusion, which defines everything we do.”

As he begins his third year as the University’s chief academic officer, the provost said he is excited about the new semester and wants to hear from all segments of the community, adding that he believes in working collaboratively with students, faculty and staff to support the University’s success.
