Library offers 'Introduction to Research Data Management' workshop March 3


8:41 a.m., Jan. 15, 2016--The University of Delaware Library will present a workshop titled “Introduction to Research Data Managementon Thursday, March 3. 

The workshop is designed to help researchers understand the general benefits for and basic strategies to manage, share and preserve research data; understand what is required to write data management plans for funding agencies (e.g. National Science Foundation, National Endowment for the Humanities and National Institutes of Health); and learn about available resources and tools, including the DMPTool.

All UD faculty and staff members are invited to attend the annual UDid It! employee appreciation picnic, set from 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m., Monday, June 6, on The Green.

The workshop is co-sponsored by the University’s Research Office.

“Introduction to Research Data Management” will be offered from 10-11:30 a.m., Thursday, March 3, in the Library Instruction Room 114 on the first floor of the Morris Library.

Presenters will be Tom Melvin, librarian, Reference and Instructional Services Department; Deb Morley, librarian and head, Reference and Instructional Services Department; and Anita Schwartz, IT resource consultant IV, IT-Client Support and Services.

The workshop is available at no charge and are open to UD faculty and graduate students. Seating is limited and registration is required. Online registration is available at this site.
